About RigTuner

RigTuner is a working PC-building bench. Clear advice for people who have to buy the parts with their own money.

Who runs RigTuner

RigTuner is run by Marcus Vale, founder and editor. Marcus has built PCs for 15 years, assembled more than 80 gaming and workstation rigs, and spent a decade tuning CPUs, memory, and GPUs through hands-on overclocking. The bench is the point: every recommendation starts with parts, thermals, noise, and a real budget.

Cost per frame is the brief

Our mission is simple: find the most useful performance for the money. That means we care about cost per frame, upgrade headroom, power draw, and the experience around the benchmark—not just a chart-topping result. A cheaper card that delivers the same smooth play can be the better build.

Independent by design

RigTuner is independent. We make money through display advertising and affiliate links when readers buy through a retailer. Affiliate relationships never buy coverage, a verdict, or a higher score; manufacturers and retailers do not approve copy before publication. See the full Editorial Policy and our How We Test notes for the working rules.

The workshop roster

The Marcus Vale author bio covers the founder, editor, and overclocking lead behind the bench. The Nina Ortiz author bio covers platform and thermals testing.

Both writers are expected to disclose supplied hardware, retest questionable results, and explain the trade-offs behind a recommendation. For corrections or a test question, use the contact page.
